11 Rottweiler Facts People Understand Better Than Anyone

After more than 30 years with Rottweilers, I sometimes think I am part Rottweiler myself. I've had eight of my own in that time and fostered many of them during my work in breed rescue. Some of them are more cheerful, some are social-there are some Rottweiler facts that you can pretty much expect with a Rottweiler.
1. Rottweilers are smart. Very smart.
That's right, they're clever-here and there more brilliant than their proprietors. Rottweilers are thinking dogs. They're smart and will take as much time as is needed working out a circumstance before they act. This is the reason you'll see some rendition of “Rottweilers are not for everybody” or “Rottweilers are not for first-time hound proprietors” on basically every educational site and book about Rottweilers. It's frequently difficult to stay aware of them, and more than one mentor has noticed that they will, in general, be more astute and learn quicker than their owners.
